  • Datca Mehmet Ali Aga Konagi. Even if you do not have chance to stay in this beautifully restored mansion built in 1809 it’s worth a visit for lunch or dinner around the fountain in the courtyard.

  • Kalkan Villa Mahal – the ultimate honeymoon hotel perched on a cliff with unrestricted views of the Mediterranean. Stone steps lead down to a private beach. All rooms have a private terrace and one suite even has its own pool.

    Restaurants in Istanbul

  • Istanbul Hamdi restaurant is a great introduction to Turkey with good kebabs and a view of the Golden Horn.

  • Istanbul Sultanahmet Koftesi an old and famous Turkish meatball restaurant, a great lunch stop after Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque

  • Istanbul Feriye restaurant has tables right on the edge of the Bosphorus. The building is a converted 19th century Ottoman police station.

    Restaurants in Bodrum

  • Bodrum Gemibasi Restaurant – one of Bodrum’s oldest restaurants and a favourite with locals. Mezes and fish are a speciality

  • Bodrum Kocadon restaurant – this 19th Century courtyard restaurant is a romantic setting, candlelit in the evening with a background of mellow jazz. Serves some traditional Turkish fish and meat dishes

  • Bodrum Denizhan – the best Turkish kebab restaurant in town. A chic establishment with a huge selection of excellent kebabs.

  • Bodrum Sunger Pizza – probably the busiest all year round restaurant. Pioneers of the homemade pizza in Bodrum they also serve Turkish dishes. The roof terrace is the place to dine. On the main harbour opposite Bodrum Milta Marina
