Jenny, a discerning collector of old Turkish carpets and kilims, has been visiting Turkey for 20 years. Her little village house with its sea front setting and spectacular view of the bay and the is the result of her long love affair with Gumusluk.
The house literally fronts onto the beach making you just a few barefoot steps from an early morning swim. Stone walls keep the house cool in summer and for the hottest months there is air conditioning both up and downstairs. The shady ground floor terrace with couches covered scattered with cushions is perfect in the early evening as the sun sets over the bay. The upstairs terrace is perfect for relaxing in the sun from where the view of Rabbit Island and the entrance to the bay changes only with the occasional passage of yachts. A conservatory upstairs catches the sun in the cooler months offering a great spot to read a book and enjoy the view.
Jenny has kept the village charm of the house intact, enhanced with woven Turkish cushion covers and kilims from her collection. The 1 double bedroom has an ensuite shower and WC. Children or extra guests can sleep on the downstairs divans or in the ship's cabin half way up the stairs. The small downstairs bathroom also has a shower. The kitchen/lounge is ideally equipped for dining at home while Gumusluk's restaurants, cafe's and waterfront bars are within 5 minutes walk down the beach.
