About SJ

Born in Bodrum, Sefa grew up next to boats and the sea. After working for one of Bodrum's most reputable yacht charter companies, Sefa was ready to set up his own charter agency in 1991, SJ Travel & Yachting. He actively promotes quality standardised tourism in Turkey, and has held the post of President of the Bodrum Association of Turkish Travel Agents.

Born and raised in Turkey with an English mother and a Turkish father, Melisa is a bilingual graduate from the Anatolian Tourism High School. Her sense of fun and easy manner with the charter guests is a great asset to the SJ experience. Melisa has been with SJ Travel & Yachting for over 15 years.

Mustafa has more or less grown up in the Bodrum yachting community. He’s known most of the gulet captains and crews for years. We were very happy to have him when he agreed to join us in 2019. His calm manner and logistical skills are a boon to our team. When you arrive at the airport it’s quite likely that Mustafa will be there to greet you.

Trained as an engineer, after working in Ukraine and learning Russian, Sefa’s nephew Kaan joined the family company in 2021. He looks after the financial side of things at SJ Travel but is always with us out on the harbour when guests arrive, taking care of any last minute preparations or shopping requests
